The pictures on this page show the last six years of "Violin Shop" Christmas cards, all designed by Karen.  Simple studies in sepia watercolour, they are markedly different from most of her work, which, like the piece on the introduction page, involves working in to the watercolour with hand or machine stitching.  More recently this has taken her to even greater advances, involving painting on to different substrates and the use of wire, gauze, oil pastels and metal leaf.  Examples of this may be seen in a link to "Avenues of Sight" on the links page.
